EpicQuest List:

I've always hated the phrase "Bucket List", or even "Things to do Before I Die", it all sounds a bit morbid doesn't it? I wish I could take credit for the "EpicQuest", I came upon the term one night mindlessly surfing the interwebs...

My mother always told me "Life is a Banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death!". She quoted that line countless times, and it was from one of her favorite movies "Auntie Mame". It was about this vivacious, bubbly woman(Rosalind Russell) who had a zest for life. Throughout the movie she did what she wanted to do, went wherever, she lived by the motto live life to its fullest.

I have been wanting to post my "Bucket List" on my blog for a while now, but felt that it wasn't complete to post. Honestly when isn't a bucket list complete? As you travel, learn, and chat with friends you always find new things you want to add. I created a small list several years ago, and had accomplished most of what I set out to do on that list. I always wanted to visit the Eiffel Tower, Venice, see the Colosseum in Rome and I did in 2006. Half the list was crossed off by the time I got home so I decided to create a semi new list, and boy- it seems like I have a lot of catching up to do!

Feel free to comment, give advice, share your experiences- I'd love to hear them!

So without further ado- here is my list..

1. Travel the World (At least visit every continent, yes Including Antarctica :P)
2. White Water Rafting (DONE July 2009)
3. Zip Line through a tropical forest, preferably Costa Rica.
4. Visit the Ice Hotel in Sweden
5. Visit Eqypt, and the Nile
6. Live in a foreign country for a year.
7. Go on a Safari(DONE FEB 2011)
8. See the Loch Ness lake, and scout for the Loch Ness
9. Learn how to ride a Vespa, and Own one :P
10. Go to a Led Zeppelin Concert (if they decide to have another reunion tour)
11. Spend New Years in a foreign country
12. Learn how to surf
13. Learn a new language(most likely French)
14. Visit Bali
15.Graduate College :P
16. Skydive!!!!!
17. Get licensed to Scuba Dive, and explore the great barrier reef or the red sea..
18. Visit Pompeii, in Naples
19. Ride an elephant in Thailand
20. Be like Jane Goodall and watch the Pandas and Gorillas in their Natural habitat
21. Go to an Oscar event, or an Emmy. Whether, I'm a presenter, or an nominee, or just there would be great :P
22. Swim with Pink dolphins in Brazil
23. Hike to Macchu Picchu in Peru!
24. Visit the Stonehedge
25. See the cherry blossoms in Japan
26. Write an Book, and write an Travel Memoir
27. Ride an motorcycle preferably an Harley Davidson
28. Climb Mount Kilimanjaro
30. Ride the Orient Express, as well as the Glacier Express in Switzerland, and the Trans-Siberian Express through Asia
31. Visit Kathmandu in Nepal
32. BORA BORA! Need I say more?
33. Learn how to Snowboard
34. Learn British Sign Language
35. Whale Watching Expedition
36. Cruise to Alaska
37. Finish visiting every state in America (5 states left)
38. See one of my favorite painting “The Starry Night” by Van Gogh at the MOMA in NY and visit as many Van Gogh Paintings as possible (mainly my favorites)
39. Meet Anthony Bourdain
40. Be in a audience on a TV show..
41. Ride a camel again, only this time through the desert
42. Drink at Oktoberfest in Germany
43. Go to Walden Pond and read Thoreau
44. Visit Sleepy Hollow in New York
45. Walk through a waterfall(DONE DOMNICA JAN 2011)
46. Visit the Blue Lagoon in Iceland
48. Learn to play a musical instrument with some degree of skill.
49.Grow my own garden(with Pumpkins, Corn, and varieties of bizzare veggies)
50. Go up in a Hot Air Balloon
51.Go deep sea fishing
52. Go to the Top of the Statue of Liberty, and Empire St. Building (Empire St. Building DONE- June 2010)
53.Take a spiritual Road Trip, just like the one in “ElizabethTown”
54. Write Children Books
55. Learn how to Salsa Dance
56. Eat Escargot in France
57. Go to the Almalfi Coast, and drink the Lemoncello whilst walking through a olive patch
58. Learn how to Sail, completely maneuver a boat.
59. Own a Boat, and name it Ghoti
60. Actually go Paragliding,(I’ve only paraglided down a hill)
61. Parasail
62. Go on a helicopter ride
63. Visit The Galapagos Archipelago, see some exotic animals
64. The Northern Lights (the Aurora Borealis)
65. Eat Cloud Berry in Sweden
66. Go Island Hopping In Greece, and visit Sparta
67. Visit an major shopping market during the Holiday season, in Germany or the UK
68. Watch ALL the James bond movies
69. Go to Russia, Moscow to be exact
70. See some original Cave Drawings in the Caves in France

75. The Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam, Holland and visit my favorite paintings (Even though I have seen several at the National Gallery in Britain)

92. Visit Jim Morrison's Grave in France. The Doors, will be forever the greatest band to have existed..
93. Find my ancestors, and make a family tree(a proper one)
94. St. Patrick's Day Parade in Ireland :D Hey, I'm Irish so this is a must
95. Work hard to ensure captioning is available for all Deaf people
96. Teach Sign language in a foreign country
97. Chinese New Years parade, or be there for their new years
98. Eat an Deep Fried Mars Bars, and other fried goodies in Scotland, as well as England.
99. Ski in the Swiss Alps
100. See the Bat Show the next time I am in Carlsbad, Arizona.
